I just came back from the theatres after watching Savages. Directed by Oliver Stone, with what everyone kept on saying about him, I thought it would’ve been a super gory movie. Well there was a couple of scenes it was indeed disgusting but I imagined more. I guess I anticipated so much of this movie that it kind of disappointed me.
The acting was good. Though, Blake Lively (whom I’m a fan of) just kept on having the same facial expression all the time; could’ve done better in the emotional part… Tayloy Kitsch was hot!!!! I loved his character the most! Such a badass!! Of course, all the elders were incredible! Salma Hayek, John Travolta, and that crazy badass Benicio Del Toro!! He’s so scary I would not want to meet him….!
The movie’s pace was a bit dragging and long. It could’ve been maybe 15mins shorter and it would’ve been great! Because they took too much time to get to the climax, I found that the ending was a bit rushed. Maybe that’s why I hated the ending.
Overall, it was okay. Rating it a faint 6/10.
